Taking a ride on the Athens Metro will surely make you feel like you are taking a ride back to Ancient Greece. It is almost as if you do not have to visit a museum in Athens to get a flavor of the Ancient world. Train stations along the Athens Metro line give you sneak peaks of how Athens once was millenniums ago.

At this station you will discover ancient objects of everyday use, such as pottery and lamps, as well as offerings which were placed by the dead on their final journey. In addition, you can visit the remaining parts of the sacred path of Iera Odos and of a nearby cemetery.
Acropolis
Walking along the metro platforms you will be surprised by the replicas of the Parthenon frieze created by the ancient sculptor Pheidias.
